The Monday Catchup

Romney has asserted to have paid an effective tax rate of at least 13% over the last 20 years (Via reddogreport.com).

Good morning! Here’s the news you may have missed:

The Lead Story: Mitt Romney released his tax records from 2011 on Friday, revealing that his effective tax rate was nearly 14% last year (he paid the IRS with about 950,000 fry pies). Romney’s tax rate could have been lower; however, he decided to forgo $1.75 million in charitable deductions so that he will have paid at least 13% in recent years, an assertion he has made frequently on the campaign trail.
